The Brentwood Baptist Christmas Concerts are an annual event well-known throughout the Nashville area for excellence in music and production. This year, five free concerts were presented to around 13,000 attendees. Featuring a choir of 200, orchestra of 75, a children’s choir of 40, and numerous soloists across a wide stage, the event presents a challenge to light evenly and with impact. A particular challenge this year came with the orchestra on the floor, which positioned them in front of any existing lighting hang. This challenge was solved by using side and back lighting from angles which gave the appearance of an even front wash. The rig itself was made up entirely of existing fixtures already owned by the church with the exception of snow machines and six ground fixtures.

Programming took place on a GrandMA3 console running GrandMA2.
